Rustam Minnikhanov meets with Mayor of the Turkish city of Marmaris Ali Acar

On March 12, at his office in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Mayor of the Turkish city of Marmaris Ali Acar.

Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Industry and Trade of the republic Albert Karimov, Aide to Tatarstan President Radik Gimatdinov, Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan on Tourism Sergey Ivanov, Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Kazan Ahmet Sadyk Dogan, Mayor of Nizhnekamsk Aidar Metshin and other officials took part in the meeting. 

Mayor of Nizhnekamsk city Aidar Metshin and Mayor of Marmaris Ali Acar had signed the bilateral development plan of twinning the day before.

The parties intend to cooperate in a number of areas: organization of direct flights between cities, school exchanges, development of cultural relations, etc.

During the meeting, Minnikhanov emphasized that signing of this document is another step to further strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation between Tatarstan and Turkey as part of Russian – Turkish relations.
