Rustam Minnikhanov discusses issues of further cooperation between Tatarstan and the Coşkunöz Group

On March 3, at their meeting at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and the founder of the Coşkunöz Group Oya Coşkunöz Aktaş discussed topical issues of further development of the company's business in Tatarstan.

Speaking at the meeting, Minnikhanov reminded that today Turkey is one of the leading foreign partners of Tatarstan. Turkish companies have invested 2 billion US dollars in the republic. As many as 10 Turkish factories are successfully operating in the region.

According to Minnikhanov, regular meetings with senior officers of Turkish companies make it possible to quickly resolve emerging issues, open up new opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation.

Despite the difficult situation, Turkish business is actively developing its activities in our republic Minnikhanov stressed. A significant number of joint projects are underway at the Alabuga Special Economic Zone, he went on to say.

In 2014, the Coşkunöz Company opened a large plant for the production of car body parts in Tatarstan. In May 2018, Coşkunöz Alabuga LLC, in cooperation with the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works, launched the production of steel workpieces for the automotive industry.

Tatarstan is interested in strengthening cooperation with the Coşkunöz Company, which is an important and reliable business partner, Minnikhanov said during the meeting.
