Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov congratulates Tatarstan residents on coming New Year

1 January 2015, Thursday
Dear Tatarstan residents!
The year of 2014 is coming to an end. We traditionally summarize the results of the year and share our plans for the future. The New Year holiday is the time of kind hopes and joyful expectations.  The difficulties and challenges our country had to face in the outgoing year have united and consolidated us. Now we have more self-confidence and unbending spirit.
Under such circumstances  we implemented all the programmes we planned, met our commitments, and continued working on priority projects.
Our greatest success is the inclusion of Bolgar historical and architectural complex in the list of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage of UNESCO. I am sure that monuments of the island-town Sviyazhsk will be internationally recognized.
It is obvious that we are worried about international political conflicts, radical and neo-fascist manifestations. Our republic offers such true values, as inter-ethnic and inter-religious peace and accord, respect to history and a sense of pride in our Motherland instead of these negative phenomena.
Our major wealth is high spirituality, morality, and an increasing amount of close-knit and friendly families and our children.
The coming year will be full of events of great concern. The 70th anniversary of Victory in Great Patriotic War is the most important one. Our main obligation is to tell the coming generation the truth about terrible war years.
We are looking forward to hosting World championship in water sports. I am convinced that it will be as successful as the Universiade was.
We will do our best to provide stability and high standards of living to be ensured with our constructive labor and unity.
From the bottom of my heart I wish you peace, good, happiness and children’s laugh in your families.
Good health and well-being to you!
Happy 2015 New Year!
Tatarstan President, Rustam Minnikhanov
