Tatarstan President meets with Tatarstan representatives abroad and in Russian regions

On September 25 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with Tatarstan representatives abroad and in Russian regions. 

Opening the meeting, Tatarstan President noted that such annual meetings became traditional. “We always try to make our representatives’ work systematic and efficient. I believe that lately it has become more coordinated and we should summarize some results,” Rustam Minnikhanov said. 

Aide to Tatarstan President on Foreign Affairs Radik Gimatdinov reported on fulfillment of tasks given by Rustam Minnikhanov during the last meeting with representatives last year in October.

Thus, video conferences with participation of Tatarstan executive authorities, meetings with representatives of Innopolis, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, SEZ “Alabuga” are held regularly. 

Aide to Tatarstan President Radik Gimatdinov said that as a result of the last year’s meeting, the representative office was opened in Dubai. It will involve not only UAE but neighboring regions as well. It is also planned to open Tatarstan representative office in China. It was reported that new Tatarstan representative in Azerbaijan was appointed recently. 

Later, Tatarstan foreign and regional representatives, heads of Tatarstan ministers and departments working abroad made their reports. 

As a result of the meeting, Tatarstan President gave a number of tasks to make work of Tatarstan representative offices more efficient. In particular, Rustam Minnikhanov offered to set more clear and specific targets and develop effectiveness evaluation system. 

Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President’s Office Asgat Safarov, Aide to Tatarstan President on Foreign Affairs Radik Gimatdinov, Acting Deputy Prime Minister – Tatarstan Minister of Education and Science Engel Fattakhov, Head of Regional Press and Mass Communication Agency “Tatmedia” Irek Minnakhmetov took part in the meeting.
