Tatarstan President meets with delegation of Sisecam company

On March 4 at their meeting in Kazan Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and delegation of Sisecam company led by its Director General Ahmet Kirman discussed issues related to the implementation of the project on construction of production facilities in SEZ “Alabuga”.

To the point, Sisecam company is building plants for the production of sheet and automobile glass in SEZ “Alabuga”. The amount of construction investments exceeds 10 billion roubles.

“It is nice to see you again. We realize that Tatarstan and Turkey have vast opportunities to boost trade and economic cooperation,” Rustam Minnikhanov said welcoming members of the Turkish delegation.

He noted that Turkey is one of the leading economic partners of Tatarstan. By and large, 278 joint enterprises are registered in Tatarstan, with the volume of declared investments making about USD 1.5 billon. At the same time, he pointed out that all the projects were being successfully implemented.

“We are grateful to you and your company for the investment project that you are carrying out in Tatartsan. The project is very significant for Russian-Turkish relations,” Rustam Minnikhanov said addressing Ahmet Kirman.

Rustam Minnikhanov offered to proceed to start-up and commissioning of the plant, noting its high degree of completion.

Ahmet Kirman, in his turn, thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for his help at all stages of the project implementation.
