On May 18, at his meeting with Chairman of the Chamber of Industry of Aegean Region Ender Yorgancılar, Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said: “We should use all existing economic potential for development of cooperation between Tatarstan and Aegean Region”.
In his welcoming speech Minnikhanov thanked participants of the meeting for attention paid to Tatarstan. “Turkey is one of our main international partners, Tatarstan-Turkey relations in the sphere of petrochemistry, engineering and wood processing are rapidly developing. A lot of Turkish enterprises are working in SEZ “Alabuga”,” he said. Minnikhanov noted that Efes brewing company is one of the biggest taxpayers in the republic, Design group is going to build greenhouse centres in Tatarstan.
“Chemical, oil-refining and engineering industries are developed in Tatarstan. We are aimed at innovative development. We have technoparks and engineering centers. As for Turkey, textile industry is well developed there,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
Ender Yorgancılar told that the Chamber of Industry was founded in 1954. There are 15 organized industrial zones in Turkey now.
Aegean Region has access to European and Eastern markets and is the second region after Istanbul in terms of manufacturing export products.
Ender Yorgancılar continued that Tatarstan and Aegean Region have conditions for developing industrial and economic cooperation.
Chief Executive of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina, who took part in the meeting, told about economic and industrial potential of the republic.
