Rustam Minnikhanov discussed creation of joint specialized economic zone with Turkish partners

On November 18, at Tatarstan Government House, President of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov and Chairman of Gebze Industrial Zone (Turkey) Vahit Yildirim discussed creation of a joint specialized economic zone in Tatarstan.

Rustam Minnikhanov welcomed Vahit Yildirim and thanked him for organization of the visit of the Tatarstan delegation to Gebze Industrial Zone in October noting that many proposals made by executives of the industrial zone were interesting for the delegation.

According to Minnikhanov, the experience of Gebze Industrial Zone can be used to develop existing specialized economic zones or creation of new ones.

Vahit Yildirim thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for the reception and expressed condolences over Russian plane crash in Egypt.

At the end of the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov and Vahit Yildirim agreed on establishing a joint working group to work on the future project.
